What are my fees?
£35.00 for an initial consultation and treatment which takes 45 minutes
£30.00 per session for follow up treatments.
How many treatments will I need?
I cannot say without first seeing you but most people visit the osteopath for around a handful of treatments- sometimes follow up treatments or maintenance appointments are neccessary - sometimes they are not. Generally speaking the longer you have had a problem the longer it will take us to clear it up.
What if I`m not sure if I need treatment or not ?
That`s fine because it means you can take advantage of our free consultation service which gives you 15 minutes of our time free so that we can chat and have a look at you to see if we can help. When you ring just mention free consultations.
What happens after treatment?
You may feel a little sore for up to 36 hours after treatment and sometimes youmigh need to apply an ice pack on the painful area. In most cases though you will feel relief which may ebb away again after 3 or 4 days-this is perfectly normal and indicates that your treatment is beginning to work
Will I need to undress?
Osteopaths work by touch, they stretch muscles and they rotate joints. This is not as alarming as it sounds but it does mean that you will most likely need to be treated in your underwear. We supply examination gowns for women to stop you from feeling unneccesarily exposed or embarrassed during treatment. It is not always neccessary to fully disrobe for treatment and this can be discused when you come.
Will I definitely get better?
No one can answer that question in advance but we mange to help about 80% of persons who come to see us.
